Easter Orders 2011

We are now taking orders for Easter goodies (orders close Thursday 21 April 2011; we will be open Easter Saturday 9am - 2pm for collections). This year's gift items are:

12 x mini cupcakes decorated with spring bunnies, chickens and Easter egg nests (available in either all-vanilla or all-chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream icing)

A half-dozen giftbox of regular-size cupcakes decorated in a pastel theme with Easter bunny toppers (2 x vanilla, 2 x choc-vanilla, 2 x raspberry & white chocolate)

Gourmet Easter Hamper: $25.00
An Easter basket filled with our decorated sugar cookies and gourmet Easter egg truffles (4 x vanilla bean Easter bunny sugar cookies & 15 gourmet handmade Easter egg truffles [see below for flavour selections])
[cookies & truffles will remain fresh for up to 2 weeks if stored correctly]

Please note that the above 3 gift lines are only available by pre-order. We will have a different variety of our truffles and Easter cupcakes in-store on Easter Saturday, but over-the-counter stock will be strictly limited, so we strongly suggest preordering yours (or coming into the store early in the day before we sell out!).

A 50% deposit is required to place your order (credit card over-the-phone, or cash/EFTPOS instore), if we do not receive this deposit we assume you no longer want your order.

We also have in stock for Easter the gorgeous Bunny Mix M&Ms (pictured below).  These M&Ms come in pretty pastel shades with Easter prints, and are not available in Australian stores! (imported from the US).

Pink, Brown & White Engagement Dessert Buffet Table

While I usually don't post photos of my dessert buffets on this blog, this one I am particularly proud of so thought I would share some pictures! This pink, brown and white themed dessert buffet (sometimes known as a dessert table, lolly buffet, lolly bar, candy table, or candy buffet!)

was for an engagement party held at Burke & Wills' Warrego Room.

The line-up included: homemade raspberry marshmallows, meringues, pecan fudge brownies, choc-vanilla cupcakes (with pale pink scroll heart decorations), peanut butter choc haystacks, a vanilla rosette cutting cake, musk mini cupcakes (with tiny heart toppers), choc-chip m&m cookies, vanilla bean sugar cookies (interlocked heart shapes with embossed fondant covering), choc-mint fudge and white choc coconut truffles. A selection of lollies including pink piglets, musks, clinkers, strawberry shakes, sour cola bottles, and marshmallows finished off the sweet display.

Dessert tables are ideal sweet finishes to any event and can serve not only as dessert for guests, but also as take-home bonbonniere with noodle boxes or bags provided to be filled with lollies. Prices for dessert buffets are upon application. Please allow at least one month's notice when booking.

Yellow & White Dessert Buffet Table

For something a little different to my usual orders, a dessert table was created for a 21st birthday with an all-white theme. The yellow accents were added to the various sweets to match the birthday girl's cocktail dress for the occasion. The buffet included a raspberry & white chocolate cutting cake (covered in white fondant over ganache), vanilla mini cupcakes (with yellow frilly frosting and fondant blossoms), meringues, caramel truffles, passionfruit lamingtons, choc-vanilla mini cupcakes (with yellow striped disc decoration) and vanilla bean sugar cookies (piped with royal icing accents). The backdrop to the display was an assortment of yellow & white lolly jars including banana lollies, jelly beans & chocolate baubles, marshmallows, sherbet lemons and milk bottles. From all reports the dessert display provided an impressive showstopper centrepiece for the party!

Christmas Cupcakes and Treats

Orders are now being taken for Christmas Cupcakes and other sweet delights! Our handmade desserts make perfect gifts and are great for Christmas parties or 'bring-a-plate' occasions. Along with the ever-popular cupcakes, some other limited-offer Christmas sweets have been added to the menu especially to celebrate the silly season!

Christmas 2009 Menu:
Large Christmas cupcakes - $24 per box
Muffin-sized cupcakes (3 x chocolate and 3 x gingerbread) with Christmas toppers.

Mini Christmas tree cupcakes - $24 per box
Mini vanilla cupcakes iced to look like tiny sparkly Christmas trees (12 cupcakes per box).

Gingerbread cookie bites - $15 per box
A box full of bite-sized festive gingerbread cookies made using our traditional recipe (36 cookies per box; cookies appromixately the size of a 50c piece).

Choc rum & raisin fudge - $18 per box
Creamy chocolate fudge laced with rum-soaked raisins; perfect for sweet tooths (24 pieces per box).

White Christmas brownies - $14 per box
Truffle-like white chocolate brownies scattered with festive coloured lollies (6 brownies per box).

Please place your order at least 5 days prior to when you require your Christmas treats. Orders close 18th December 2009.
