Pink & Frilly Christening Cupcakes

Cupcakes ordered for a christening: chocolate regular-size cupcakes (decorated in our 'flowery frilly' design with pink flowers), carrot regular-size cupcakes (with pink icing and embossed pearlised crosses) and vanilla mini-size cupcakes (decorated with pink blossoms).

Butterflies, Polka Dots & Blossoms Cupcake Tower

This all-pink cupcake tower was ordered for a 4th birthday: vanilla mini-cupcakes topped with pale and hot pink buttercream swirls and butterflies, blossoms, polka dots and 4's; and a chocolate fondant-covered cutting cake with the birthday girl's name embossed into dots across the front, scattered polka dots and wired butterflies extending from the top of the cake.

This cupcake tower was ordered for a little girl's 1st birthday: choc-vanilla mini cupcakes decorated with hearts, butterflies and flowers, and a vanilla ripple-iced cutting cake with hand-piped "Chelsea" across the front and wired butterflies extending from the top.

A selection of girly cakes ordered for a 1st birthday celebration: mini-size vanilla cupcakes with purple blossoms and mini choc-vanilla cupcakes topped with pink butterflies, coupled with a matching choc-vanilla ripple-iced cake (2-layer chocolate cake, icied with pink vanilla buttercream icing) all dusted with silver edible glitter.

Mini cupcakes ordered for the birthday of a girl who loves ballet: raspberry & white chocolate cupcakes with handmade ballet shoe toppers, double polka dots and topped off with a sprinkle of edible glitter.

Milliner's Birthday Cupcake Tower

This cupcake tower was ordered for the 40th birthday of a milliner (hat-maker). The strawberry mud mini cupcakes were topped with hand-cut mini hats adorned with bows, pearls, flowers and glitter, and the ripple-iced cookies & cream cutting cake was topped with "21 (+228 months)", hats and a purple piped top and bottom border.

Polka Dots & Butterflies 1st Birthday Tower

A pink-themed cupcake tower ordered for a 1st birthday celebration featuring rainbow mini cupcakes with polka dots, butterflies and 1's, and a strawberry mud fondant-covered cake with pink polka dots, "kiani" embossed into white polka dots across the front and wired butterflies to finish the look.

Pink & Blue Polka Dot Christening Cupcake Tower

Regular-size vanilla and choc-vanilla cupcakes decorated in pink and blue with polka dots, stars and initials for a twin christening (a boy and a girl).  The cutting cake was a ripple-iced caramel mudcake torted and covered in caramel ganache and finished with a vanilla buttercream ripple effect, decorated with polka dots and stars imprinted with the babies names.

High Tea Floral Mini Wedding Cupcakes

This variety of mini cupcakes was ordered for a high tea wedding held in a garden setting. We were requested to include a variety of floral shapes and colours to decorate the cupcakes, to match the garden surroundings. Cupcake flavours included vanilla (with ivory buttercream), strawberry mud (with pink strawberry fudge icing) and choc-vanilla (with sage green vanilla buttercream icing), all decorated with our sugar flowers made by hand in-store.

Pink, Brown & White Engagement Dessert Buffet Table

While I usually don't post photos of my dessert buffets on this blog, this one I am particularly proud of so thought I would share some pictures! This pink, brown and white themed dessert buffet (sometimes known as a dessert table, lolly buffet, lolly bar, candy table, or candy buffet!)

was for an engagement party held at Burke & Wills' Warrego Room.

The line-up included: homemade raspberry marshmallows, meringues, pecan fudge brownies, choc-vanilla cupcakes (with pale pink scroll heart decorations), peanut butter choc haystacks, a vanilla rosette cutting cake, musk mini cupcakes (with tiny heart toppers), choc-chip m&m cookies, vanilla bean sugar cookies (interlocked heart shapes with embossed fondant covering), choc-mint fudge and white choc coconut truffles. A selection of lollies including pink piglets, musks, clinkers, strawberry shakes, sour cola bottles, and marshmallows finished off the sweet display.

Dessert tables are ideal sweet finishes to any event and can serve not only as dessert for guests, but also as take-home bonbonniere with noodle boxes or bags provided to be filled with lollies. Prices for dessert buffets are upon application. Please allow at least one month's notice when booking.

Jumpsuit Baby Shower Cupcakes

A selection of mini cupcakes for a baby shower where the sex of the baby is unknown: raspberry & white chocolate cupcakes topped with pink baby jumpsuits and cookies & cream cupcakes topped with blue baby jumpsuits.

Letter Christening Cupcakes

Part of the order of cupcakes for a girl's christening - each vanilla cupcake featured a silver letter to spell out the baby's full name placed on a swirl of pastel pink buttercream.

Basic Blossom Wedding Cupcakes

These simple but elegant cupcakes were a last minute order for a wedding that took place the weekend following Toowoomba's terrible floods that happened in January. The booked 'cake lady' had been stranded outside of Toowoomba due to road closures so when I received a last minute call from the bride I was more than willing to help out with a wedding cake replacement for the couple. The cupcakes were all vanilla with a pale pink blossom and a sprinkle of silver edible glitter.

Princess Birthday Cupcakes

 A mixture of vanilla and chocolate cupcakes all iced with pink vanilla buttercream icing and topped with handpiped gold sparkly tiaras, hot pink 7s and purple daisies (and sprinkled with lots of pink and silver glitter!) for a little girl's seventh birthday celebration.

Pink Ribbon Fundraiser Cupcakes 2010

This year we were called on to make 8 boxes full of pink ribbon cupcakes that were sold to raise funds during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The flavours included vanilla, chocolate and musk, all topped with a pink ribbon decoration.
